Security Manager

Basic Function

Responsible for organizing and overseeing all security operations within the UGHI premises, ensuring the safety and protection of employees, visitors, and property across multiple plants. The role involves developing and implementing security protocols, training staff, and maintaining a secure environment.

Duties And Responsibilities
  1. Develop and implement effective security protocols to identify and protect company assets.
  2. Conduct training programs and assessments to ensure staff compliance with security procedures and guidelines.
  3. Ensure the safety of staff and customers within the workplace by implementing appropriate security measures.
  4. Perform regular security process evaluations and inspections to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.
  5. Prepare the organization and staff for external inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  6. Manage the budget for security operations, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
  7. Control spending within the security department while maintaining high-quality services.
  8. Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates to prevent unauthorized entry.
  9. Report any suspicious incidents in detail and take appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
  10. Collaborate with other managers in meetings to determine operational security needs.
  11. Manage the performance and outputs of CCTV systems across the company.
  12. Perform any other duties related to core function and assigned by superiors.
Qualifications Education
  • Two academic years after high school
Experience
  • Minimum 10 years experience in the same field, previous service in police or army or security
Skills
  • Proven experience of at least 4 years as a Security Manager or in a similar position.
  • Experience in utilizing relevant technology and equipment such as CCTV systems.
  • Proficient in reporting and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Solid understanding of budgeting and statistical data analysis.
  • Possess any security certifications required by the employing organization or company.
  • Post-secondary training in security management is preferred by many organizations.
  • Working knowledge of required computer programs and security technology.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to monitor surveillance systems and respond effectively to emergency situations.
  • Excellent team building and leadership skills.
